C-47A Skytrain Honey Bun III Handcrafted and Hand-Painted Wooden and Metal Transport Airplane Model with Stand

Evolving from the DC-3 civilian transport plane, the C-47 Skytrain was refitted with a stronger floor to accommodate military functions. The plane was powered by two Pratt and each of these definitely performed. It was the C-47 plane that flew during the Guadalcanal operations against the Japanese forces, that airlifted to support the US during the Battle of Bastogne. During its lifespan, the plane took on quite a handful of nicknames including: Dakota or DACoTA (Douglas Aircraft Company Transport Aircraft) and Gooney Bird. Warcraft collection is about owning bits of history - from warfare to excellent aviation that led man's dominance in the skies. As such, this wood model aircraft of the C-47 is a perfect candidate for the center platform of your collection. With finely crafted specs and smoothed surface, this item boasts a look similar to the real plane. Comes with model and stand. Hand carved, hand painted, and hand made in the Philippines, this finely crafted model is scaled in size based off of the original craft. Materials: Wood, Metal Dimensions: 7.9L x 12W x 10H Weight: 1.54 lbs
